About The Pictou County ATV Club
Our club was formed in Pictou County in 1996 by a small number of people who saw a need for an organized ATV group. This dream led to the formation of the Provincial Body of ATVANS which   now has over 40 clubs in number from all over Nova Scotia.

Our club is here to serve ATV riders in the Pictou County and Surrounding area. Over the years we have taken other ATV'ers on tours throughout the county, educated folks on the rules of ATVing, worked with local businesses and community groups to better develop trails and to work in conjection with other trail groups to over come trail woes.

Our club beleives in community partnership, the Pictou County ATV Club has supported the local community by working in partnership with businesses and community groups.

We believe everyone deserves an opportunity to ride the trails in Pictou County. If you see a problem or potential hazard on any trail in the area please let us know. Atving in a relatively new sport and one that not everyone understands or agrees with, we are here to educate and work with the community to make our trails and our sport a joyous experience for everyone, and make your ATVing experience in Pictou County one you will always remember.

During 2008, club members began opening rail beds in the Sunnybrae area as part of the East River Shared Use Trail Project.   Also club members are at work opening the trail from Willowdale to Guysborough.

The club is involved in these projects, working hard to to give us new trails to drive on.   These projects will continue into 2009 and can use any help you can contribute.
